Professional Development Lunch

Susan has a BA from Buena Vista University and a JD from Drake University

Law School. Susan practiced law in Des Moines and taught Business Law and

other law-related courses at Des Moines Area Community College, Ankeny,

Iowa, until she retired from full-time teaching in 2017. She is married with

two daughters. Her fur-baby is a British Black Lab.

Today Susan is a Professionally Certified Life Coach and Mayo Clinic-trained

Health and Wellness Coach. Susan works with large groups, small groups, and

individuals transitioning through life events such as retirement, career chal-

lenges, divorce, a challenging child, the loss of a loved one, or an illness, to

name a few. Susan’s passion is to help women become their true authentic

selves. We do this by learning to love ourselves wholeheartedly, quieting that

critical inner voice, and living on purpose under our umbrella of values.
